We put the chicks in with the older chickens last night. They are doing very well. The hens and rooster are excepting them.
The hen hatched her chicks today!! Eight out of ten survived. They are so cute! All the other chicks are under neath her but this one is poking its head out to see what's going on!
I had the idea of trying to see if we could hatch our own eggs. I found a hen that seemed to like to sit on eggs, so she is now sitting on ten eggs. Hopefully we'll have baby chicks in twenty-one days!!!
This morning our farm looked like a blizzard Alaska would have. This is supposed to be April! Look at what our farm looked like a couple of hours later...
You all might be concerned for our country during this covid-19 time, but let me remind you that God is in control. There is nothing that goes on in this world without Him knowing all about it! He has a purpose and a plan for all of this. Here is the words to a hymn that I think is fitting during this time: Because He lives Kristin Chenoweth
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus He came to love, heal and forgive He lived and died to buy my pardon An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living, just because He lives And then one day, I'll cross the river I'll fight life's final war with pain And then, as death gives way to victory I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living, just because He lives We had our first set of baby lambs born today at around eight o'clock a.m. They are both ram lambs. I named them Jeffery and Rudy. This will be Sugar's seventh time giving birth! Here is a picture of one of them just cleaned off.
